Year-Round Member Engagement Programs
To foster cultural pride, camaraderie, and community involvement, the following events are planned throughout the year:
1. Poila Boishakh Celebration (Bengali New Year – Mid-April)
Objective: Welcome the Bengali New Year with tradition and festivity.
Activities Include:
- Traditional Bengali food stalls
- Cultural performances (dance, music, poetry)
- Ethnic dress competition
- Folk art & crafts corner
Extras: Photo booths, community social media sharing
Audience: All members and families
2. Bijoya Sammeloni (Post-Durga Puja – October)
Objective: Strengthen community ties after the Puja festivities.
Activities Include:
- Community lunch (Bhuri Bhoj)
- Stage performances by members
- Children’s art and dance showcase
- Recognition of community volunteers

3. Sur Jharna – Musical Evening (Winter – November or December)
Objective: Celebrate the joy of music and showcase member talents.

- Classical, folk, and contemporary fusion acts

4. Annual Sports Meet (December to February)
Objective: Promote health, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

- Football & Cricket matches (Men/Women/Mixed teams)
- Kids’ athletics and fun races
- Indoor games (chess, carrom)
- Women's team sports and fun contests

5. Annual Picnic (January or February)
Objective: Build informal bonds in a joyful outdoor setting.
